Bye- Bye Beanie boos
This is the page that all Beanie Boos do not like. This is the Beanie Boo Collection Retirement Page.
Collection #1
The first set of retiring Beanie Boos is made up of mostly holiday Boos. Honey, however, is the only Boo that does not have to do with any sort of season. Moonlight and Phantom are the Halloween Beanie Boos that are retiring. Moonlight is still available on Ty.com for purchase. After that there are three Christmas Beanie Boos retiring. Their names are Presents, Comet, and Alpine. If you don't have this version of Alpine don't worry! Ty is releasing a new version of Alpine with red and green hooves in December 2013.
Collection #2
The second set of retiring Boos has only one holiday Beanie which is Candy Cane. The other ones are Romeo, Tangerine, Daisy, Myrtle, and Sandy. It's strange that Ty is retiring Myrtle because she was just released a few months ago. An interesting fact about Sandy is that he was available in two versions. The first release had puffy cheeks and solid color eyes. The second release, was more common, had cheeks like Myrtle, and had orange sparkly eyes.
Collection #3
In this 3rd collection, there are some hard to find Beanie Boos retiring. Swoops, Ghosty, Razberry, Julep, and Cookie were the hard to find Boos. Tuffy, Tundra, and Posy were easy to find Boos. Don't worry if you don't have Tundra, in February 2014 there is going to be a new Polar Bear named Sweetly. It's to bad that Ty is retiring both Phantom and Ghosty, but they might be available in some stores in October.
Collection #4
This collection includes Scraps, Spike, and Cashmere. Don't worry if you don't have Rainbow or Paddles. There is a new unicorn that is a Justice exclusive. Plus, there is new penguin named Igloo being released in December. So don't worry! You can still buy some of them online, too! Hopefully, you can have these Boos for your collection!
Collection #5
In this collection, both Woody and Petunia are retiring. Nibbles is popular, along with King. Make sure you have these two if you don't already. Nacho is also retiring but Cancun is still available. Cancun was a Justice exclusive but is now available almost everywhere.
Collection #6
This collection only has three different Beanie Boos. Corky is retiring, along with blossom. Now Iceberg is retiring, too. He is a very popular Beanie Boo. An interesting fact about Iceberg is that he was never released as a large, as most people think. He was only released as a clip, a normal, and a large. If you don't have Iceberg, make sure to buy him!
Collection #7
This collection has some kind-of hard to find Beanie Boos. Fairbanks was first available in November 2012. He was not hard to find. Haunt was sometimes available in stores like Hallmark or Kroger, but otherwise he was only available on Ty.com. Dakota was probably the hardest to find in this batch, she was only available in certain stores but never on Ty.com.
Collection #8
In this collection, other than Blueberry, these were all very recent releases. Blueberry has been available for 2-3 years so it's not surprising that he is retiring. For Diva ( she's been around for about a year ) it's hard to believe that she is retiring. She was a very popular Boo. It's strange that since Tender and Jungle Love were released after Peanut and Safari and yet they are retiring first.
Collection #9
Why are there only two Boos in this collection? Maybe it's because Ty hasn't come out with any new Boos recently and only had a few possibilities to retire? Or maybe it's because Ty just doesn't feel like making them anymore? Whatever the reason, these Boos are still a must-have. Hopson was first available around Easter 2013. Sting came out way before then. Fortunately for collectors, Bugsy is still available.
